Well, you may notice that I almost never post. When I do post, I have a terrible time with replies to comments. I have no trouble resisting those aspects of LJ.

Indeed. :) I've missed you, though, but wasn't sure how to start up a conversation. Livejournal might provide a good vehicle to exchange ideas again. I use my journal as therapy, a way to keep friends up with my life, and a way to improve my writing. I too have a list of writers whose journals I follow and talk to (like Marissa Lingen). LJ is a useful tool and well, it's fun.

I'm glad to see you're still working on novels. I'm very impressed to read that you went to Clarion in 2007. That's wonderful!

I'm still working at my father's office, making art when I can, and generally doing the "making my way through the world" bit. Oh, and I teach college sometimes. (But I can email you if you'd rather keep personal stuff to there).

Well, this thread is definitely personal. But yeah, I'd rather keep the lj away from things that aren't writing-related, insofar as *anything* isn't writing-related.

I'm working on a novel *again* rather than *still*, by the way. Didn't touch one for over 7 years, and focused on short stories while trying to figure out how one writes a story.

No novels for seven years?! Wow. I'm still working on False Gods, though I took a break at 45,000 words. I'm where I have to commit to the work for the novel or give up.

Yeah and now I'm fidgeting a bit at this whole novel thing that stops me writing short stories.
