Zahrah the Windseeker by Nnedi Okorafor-Mbachu

- is the book I am most looking forward to getting just now.

It's a YA fantasy that won the prestigious Wole Soyinka Prize for Literature in Africa. And I'm just a soft touch for award-winning YA, for YA fantasy, and for fantasy about girls who are different. So not only does it seem to be a wondrous book, it seems to be a wondrous book that hits all my favourite buttons.

Anyway, I just looked it up on Amazon and read the first few pages.
And I cannot get those pages out of my head.

I am going to pick it up realsoonnow (tomorrow if Mysterious Galaxy has it, otherwise as soon as I can get it delivered) and then I shall probably gush about it some more. For right now I'm just going to say SQUEEEE!

Oh, and, hi. *sheepish grin, wave* I wandered off for a month to have the flu and bronchitis. I'm wandering back.
