One respiratory issue I've never really had to deal with was nosebleeds. Till last night. WUT.
(And every time it stopped, I sneezed, wtf body, isn't the insomnia bad enough without blood?)

So running on fumes today, and going to forget stuff unless I claim it "out loud" and make myself accountable for it. Once I can, I need to:

- go through the 7! pages of comments to, y'know, that post, and actually reply to stuff I meant to reply contentfully to earlier.
- Respond to the wiscon concom about their real quick email response (which tells me how little they thought they needed to consider it) and post about that. (And at this point about their official response). ETA: Not EVEN worth my spoons, given their overall dismissiveness and my sense that they'd have responded differently to other bigotries. Fuckit, if I'm up for engagement, I'll do it in person.
- Break radio silence with family & near-family.
- Post about ST poems in some detail.
- Get back on track re: the diss.
- Spend some brain on editorial comments re: a rewrite request I got, argh, a while ago.
- Get some f'in exercise.

I'd managed to miss that Moon's Islamophobia is nothing new.

In light of this, the official wiscon announcement's justification that "opinions are not changed by running away from them, but instead by engaging with them, challenging their assumptions, sharing knowledge, seeking understanding, and by lively and candid discourse." fails wrt suspension of disbelief. Disinviting a known bigot of long standing isn't running away. It's having a stance.

So is not disinviting her.

However, they "fervently hope that her inclusion will not lead anyone to feel unwelcome at WisCon." That makes everything okay right?

ETA: And I hate how this fuckery is overshadowing the ever-awesome nisi_la being a (THE, in my mind) Wiscon GOH next year.
