Went to doctor today:

Pluses: seems to actually listen & take health foo seriously

Minuses: Can't do a damn thing about any of them till I have MOAR TESTS. Which the other doctor could have gotten done but oh NO FAR too busy dismissing everything I said.

Upshot: I am going to feel this bad till at LEAST my followup on Jan 12th. And after an hour's talking AND all the waiting round for a chest x-ray*, ALL of it in places that were too cold for me, this bad is pretty bad, lemme tellya.

I am unlikely to respond much to anything till then you guys.

I go... hide or something. Please don't say anything that needs a response. I just can't.

* ETA: should note that chest x-ray (+ skin test) is just to rule out TB, it being pretty clear I don't have pneumonia. I grant that being consumptive would give me Steampunk cred, but think I can do without that.

ETA2: You guys I really appreciate good thoughts, but "seems to listen" doesn't equal "listens". I'm hoping. But it's ... encouraging, rather than great, to have a doctor who on visit #1 *seems* to listen. Time will tell.

some of elsmi's Internet Research suggests that this doctor's waiting on an adrenal check might mean they are actively good, because a) symptoms we thought were totally unrelated & mentioned in another context turn up on an "adrenal insufficiency checklist" thing, & b) apparently that can decrease thyroid efficacy?

Soooo checking out whether the source problem is my adrenal gland first seems like a good thing to do.

In other news, I'm hoping to have a a picture-bit to show you guys tonight. Cause the wonderful dormouse_in_tea is saving me with WARs, and getting me drawing :)
