Poemlet
I have no title for this. It's how I just failed at lying down...
(title suggestions, as well as other thoughts, very welcome)

Untitled

This skylight is another world
pinhole camera shadow-world, rectangular
Silver screen bent like old photographs
rolled into rubber-banded bundles, painted
tree-shapes blurring
streaking sharp, framed
with old-dust spiderwebs.
                    The sky
  light soars in soothing space
far over beige carpet;
    I watch, and feel
no need to touch

            though sister spiders float
down on world-spanning mist
to say the sky
is here.

The title that comes to mind is "Good Morning, Arachne". But this may be just me.

Arachne's too Eurocentric a reference for me :)

though, channelling helivoy for a moment, Greece is only sometimes Europe, neh?

Still, it's not my myth, nor the myth of where I am, nor the myth I've read most of, so Spider simply isn't Arachne to me.

I suspected as much.

I'd love to read the poem it was a title for though :)
